Be Strong

Deuteronomy 31:6King James Version (KJV)

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Being strong isn’t alway easy nor comfortable.  Life can throw us some curve balls, that will shake our strength and courage.  But the Lord is speaking unto us and saying “Be Strong and reclaim your territory.

Come Boldly

“Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh, the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.” Numbers 27:1

The daughters of Zelophehad had a problem and they approached Moses with it. Their father, Zelophehad, had died and he left daughters and not sons. This was a problem because the LAW said the inheritance of the land was passed on to the sons.

Yet these five daughters did not allow this LAW to stop them from presenting their case. They approached Moses, Eleazar the Priest, all the leaders and the congregation with their complaint by the door of the tabernacle.

Moses went to God with their complaint. God’s answer to Moses was that the five daughters had a just complaint and God changed the LAW. They were able to inherit the land and that they must marry into the family of their father’s brother’s sons in order to keep the allotted land in the Tribe of Manasseh.

Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and to find grace to help in time of need.”

Don’t sit there in anger and in despair wondering what to do and how to do it. God is willing to hear out our complaints (Psalms 102:1), our frustrations (Isaiah 14:3) and our petitions (Philippians 4:6)  like he did with Zelophehad five daughters. God heard them. Did you read that they brought their complaints to all by the DOOR of the tabernacle. Who is our DOOR? Jesus Christ!

What is in your fruit?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Did you notice that the “Fruit of the Spirit” is not written as fruits. That’s because these characteristics are all in one fruit. We cannot have one without the other. How can we say we have meekness and temperance but there is no love demonstrated. There is a blemish in that fruit.

If we wondering why we continued to go through the same trial, it’s because the blemish on our fruit was inspected and it did not pass the test.

2 Corinthians 13:5 (NLT) says, “Examine yourselves to see if your faith if genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not you failed the test of genuine faith.”

Power and Authority

Acts 16:16-18New International Version (NIV)

Paul and Silas in Prison

16 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

Have you been in a place of prayer and nothing has changed?  Does it seems like trouble is all around you?  If it’s not this, it’s that.  Is the enemy shouting in your ear, talking defeat, loser, or you will never will rise above your circumstances.  Well I’am here to tell you start using your power and authority.   Your weapon of mass destruction which is prayer, fasting, and the Word of God.  Don’t allow the enemy of your soul to lock you in prison, because of your situation now.  Are you annoyed yet?  Start decreeing and declaring in the name of Jesus Christ, I command.  Put it in the atmosphere, your victories.  It will get better.  Trust in the Most High God to bring you out!!!

What Will Be Your Confession

Romans 14:11King James Version (KJV)

11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

We will stand in Judgement sooner or later.  All of us will have to confess before God the deeds done in this mortal body.  We all need to turn the search light on and ask God if you find any unrighteousness in me, please take it out and strengthen me in you (God).  We need to confess our sins and change our lifestyle.  Let us seek Jesus so we can become righteous with God.  Right now Jesus is our righteous savior, after while Jesus will be our righteous judge.

Be Glad

The Word of the Lord says:

Psalm 9:1-4King James Version (KJV)

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

Your praise is weapon against the enemy and his tactics.  Remember to use your spiritual songs and hymns when going into battle and that will put the enemy of your soul to flight.  Your praise will bring you out of any circumstance.

Be glad in knowing who your God is; He is the  Source and Sustainer…..The Maker and Maintainer of everything and it all comes from Him.  God is more than able to take care of the most difficult circumstance in our lives. Be glad and rejoice knowing it’s all in God’s hand.

Prayer:  God, help us to live one day at a time and enjoy each gift that You have provided for us. Help us to be glad and rejoice in a day we have  never seen.

Get Wisdom

5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you. Proverbs 4:5-9

We need the Word of God daily in our lives. It teaches us how we should live and conduct ourselves among our family, our community and our nation. The Word of God is the most important thing in our lives because it will preserve us and keep us. Everything else in this world will fail us, BUT the Word of God will not. Matthew 5:18 says, “one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”

Look up and live

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. John 3:14

When the Israelites sinned against God with their complaining because of their journey from the Red Sea to the land of Edom, God allowed fiery serpents to bite them and many of the people died. Those who lived realized their error and said to Moses that they had sinned by speaking against God and to pray for us that God will take these serpents away. Moses prayed for the people and God told him to make a fiery serpent and set it upon a pole. Everyone who is bitten when he look upon this pole, he shall live.

Jesus was set upon a pole (the Cross) for us to look up and live because the fiery serpent (sin) was killing us.

When we repent of our sins and accept him as our Lord and Savior we have life eternally.

Look up and live!

Think on these things

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Lord help me to think on things that are positive and not on things that are negative.
