The only way

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6

There is no other way but to go through God for all of our needs.  So many times we try to go through people or things to get what we think will satisfy us.  Jesus is the only way.  He is the truth.  He does not try to deceive us or play tricks on us to get us to accept him.  There is no deceit in him.  He is the life.  He came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly.  The only way that we can get to God is through our Lord Jesus Christ.  He is our mediator.  We no longer have to sacrifice with bulls or lambs to appease the Father, but he became that living sacrificial lamb who was willing to lay down his life for mankind to bring us back into fellowship with His Father.  All he asks is that we repent of our sins and turn from them and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  For He is the only way.

Sign of the time

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  Matthew 24:12-13

The disciples asked Jesus what sign would show the end of the world.  Jesus begin to tell them about false prophets and the false Christs who will come claiming to be the Christ, there will be threats of wars and nations warring against nations, and kingdoms against kingdoms.  There will be famines and earthquakes in all parts of the world. Can we see the sign of His Second Coming?  Sin is running rampant and  brotherly love that we should have each other is cold.  We hear on the news and read in the newspapers of someone being killed whether it’s an adult or a child in cold blood and without any remorse for their actions.  Those who had a zeal for God are missing in action.  For adversities have caused them to give up and they no longer feel there is a God and have lost all faith in Him.  But Jesus lets us know if we remain in Him and bear through all these troubles, we shall be saved from judgment.  Are you ready for the coming of the Lord?

There is nothing too hard for God

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Genesis 18:14

There is nothing too hard for God?  Right?  Then why is it when we come against adversity or situations happened that are beyond our control that sometimes cause us to buckle?  We can say it’s because we are human.  But this one thing we do know is that God knows how to get our attention and remind us in His Word or in a small quiet voice to say He is aware of the situation and there is nothing so difficult that He cannot do!

When three men appeared to Abraham on their way to Sodom, he told Abraham that this time next year Sarah will have a son.  Sarah was in the tent and she heard what he said and laughed.  Why?  Because She and Abraham were very old.  When she did give birth to her son, she was 90 years old and Abraham was 100.   Sarah looked at herself and all she could see was how old she was  and she was way past child-bearing.  She looked at her husband and saw that he was an old man.   Is not how we look at our situations?   We see all the negatives of the situation and think how could any good come out of this because I lost my home, I lost my job, my children are out of control, or maybe in jail, my spouse has left me, I am all alone, I’m not smart, I don’t have  enough education, I have too many bills  and  the economy is so bad and there’s no way I can get out of this situation, I am sick, cancer is all through my body, and the list goes on.

God heard her laugh and He said to Sarah, “Is any thing too hard for the Lord?”  Sarah quickly denied that she laughed because she was afraid.  Why? God heard her and He called her on it.  Well, God heard us too and he is calling us on it.  God is omnipresent, which is present in all places at all times and He is omniscient which is having infinite awareness and understanding.  He sees all and He knows all of our thoughts.  He is aware of our weaknesses and how we may falter in our faith.  And He still loves us and continues to build up our faith.  Is any thing too hard for the Lord?
