And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
What the people of God needs now is love sweet love….Love is a very important attribute in our walk. Why? Because God is love. It started with Him in John 3:16, “For God so loved theworld” which is his creation. Even though his creation sinned and disobeyed, He found a way to reconciled us back to Him because of His great love for us. He looked beyond all of our faults and He saw our needs. Love is an action word. We ought to follow God’s example in showing our love to each other than just saying mere words. For how can we say we love God whom we never seen, but we hate our brother whom we see every day. For if anyone loves God, they must love their brother too. This is a commandment from God. (1 John 4:20)
For we walk by faith, not by sight …2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith is an action word. Every day we put our faith in action in believing that when we drive our vehicle that it will get us to our destination. We believe that as we sit in a chair we have faith that it will hold us. We also have faith that when our payroll check is direct deposit into our bank account, that it’s in our account, and we will take funds out of it by writing a check or by using our debit card. So why do we lack faith when it comes to God? Abraham had faith in God. God told him to leave his country and from his family unto a land where he would show him. How did Abraham show his faith? By doing just what God told him to do. He gathered up his belongings, his wife, and his nephew Lot and left. I can imagine if God had told some of us to do this, we would be questioning him by saying, “Is that really you God speaking to me?”
To have faith, we must see with our spiritual eyes and not with our natural eyes. We have to use our “Now Faith” and have confidence in the things we hope for even though we cannot see it in the natural. Unless we have faith, it’s impossible to please God. For us to be able to approach Him, we must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
