Our Weapons

The scripture “the weapons of our warfare” came to mind to me again. My Pastor always reminds us that war is not fair (warfare) and how important it is to have the armor of God on at all times.


For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds…– 2 Corinthians 10:4

We are in a war, a confrontation with good and evil.  The enemy that we are fighting does not fight fair.  He will use every piece of  artillery that he has in his arsenal to destroy us.  The Bible calls him a roaring lion because he walking about seeking to destroy (1 Peter 5:8) and he is also known as a thief because he comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.  He wants to steal our peace.  He wants to kill our faith.  He wants to destroy us physically, mentally, and spiritually.  We are no match for this enemy by fighting with our hands or with guns because this is not a fleshly fight.  But the weapons that God has equipped us with is so powerful…
